Acer introduces a new configuration of the Triton, Helios, and Nitro gaming notebook series.
In a press release from May 11, 2021, Acer presented Predator Triton 300, Predator Helios 300, and Nitro 5 Gaming Notebooks powered with new 11th generation Intel Core H-series processors and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3000 mobile GPUs — including the new GeForce RTX 3050 and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti.
With the upgrade to the current Intel CPUs, according to Acer, Wi-Fi 6E and Thunderbolt 4 will also find their way into gaming devices. However, nothing has changed in the design of the Predator Triton 300, Predator Helios 300 and Nitro 5 notebooks presented. Although, the displays have been revised.
Acer Predator Triton 300
In addition to the CPU generation mentioned above, the Acer Predator Triton 300 is also equipped with graphics units up to Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3080 and up to 32 GB of RAM.
In addition to Wi-Fi 6, 2.5 Gigabit LAN and HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and Thunderbolt 4 are also installed. Apart from that, Acer names a 15.6-inch (39.6 cm) QHD panel with 165 Hz and a 15.6-inch (39.6 cm) FullHD panel with 360 Hz as display options.
Acer Predator Helios 300
The Predator Helios 300 is equipped with the strongest graphics option with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, which can also display image content either on a 165 Hz QHD or a 360 Hz FullHD panel. The display sizes available here are 15.6 inches (39.6 cm) and 17.3 inches (43.9 cm). The basic connection equipment is based on that of the Triton 300.
Acer Nitro 5
The equipment in the Acer Nitro 5 is similar, with IPS panels with QHD resolution and 165 Hz, in sizes of 15.6 inches (39.6 cm) and 17.3 inches (43.9 cm) being offered. More detailed information is not yet available on the CPUs available.
According to Acer, the Predator Triton 300 will be available in North America in July starting at $1,699, and in EMEA in June starting at EUR 1,499.
The 15-inch Acer Nitro 5 will be available in North America in June starting at $1,099; in EMEA in June starting at EUR 999, and in China in June starting at RMB 6,999.
The 17-inch Acer Nitro 5 will be available in North America in June starting at $1,299; in EMEA in June starting at EUR 1,299, and in China in June starting at RMB 7,999.
