
Tech giants Microsoft who still can’t compete Apple and Android in smartphone market is now going to release a new Windows 10 phone, dubbed the Surface Phone — the most secure and productivity-focused phone.
Many rumors are surfacing online lately about the launch of new Microsoft Surface Phone. The Redmond-based tech firm is still quiet about the new the Windows 10 Mobile-powered smartphone but a tweet from Microsoft Australia and registration of the domain “surfacephone.com” — which is now redirecting to official Surface website gives us an evidence to believe that the tech giant is working a completely new smartphone.
According to latest rumors the new Surface Phone will will replace the company’s Lumia smartphone lineup. Windows Central reports that Microsoft is working on multiple variants of the Surface Phone and will feature a unique fingerprint sensor.
Details about specification and features of each variant is still unclear, but you can except one with a 5.5-inch screen, while phablet lovers will find a variant with a 6-inch screen. You can also expect one of the variants to sport a 4GB RAM on 64GB of storage. Another variant will have 6GB RAM on 128GB of storage. Power users can expect a variant of the Surface Phone to sport 8GB RAM on 512GB storage.

Rumored Specification of Surface Phone
The new Surface Phone will come with a new unique fingerprint sensor, which Microsoft plans to integrate on the phone’s display. Every one is going to love this unique feature of Surface Phones, because today most smartphones have fingerprint sensors on the home button or the rear of the handset.
About variant rumors — the Surface Phone will come in three versions: a consumer model, a business model, and an enthusiast edition.
The base model will featured with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, with a mid-range offering coming with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The device is rumored to have a 20 megapixel rear camera with a Carl Zeiss lens. It will come with an 8GB RAM and a Kaby Lake processor, a USB Type-C port and will run Windows 10 Redstone operating system.
Microsoft is designing the Surface Phone primarily for business users. Several reports claimed that the company will come with Windows 10 Mobile’s Continuum feature, enabling the device to work much better as a PC.
Rumors also suggests that Surface Phone will be able to run Win32 apps to give a compelling reason to iOS and Android users to switch to a Windows Mobile. The availability of Win32 apps on the Surface Phone will allow the device to run legacy Windows program that people run on their PCs.
To attract business users, Microsoft is working to make the Surface Phone the most secure phone in the world.
Now about launch — according to rumors mill, the Surface Phone is likely to be released during the first half of 2017. The device will cost between $699- $1,100.
