Call of Duty Mobile stable version launches on October 1 on Android and iOS

After a prolonged beta period, we finally got a confirmed launching date for the highly anticipated Call of Duty Mobile — a new PUBG Mobile rival with battle royale mode.

Call of Duty Mobile — a new free-to-Play battle royale game for Android and iOS devices from PUBG Mobile developers, Tencent Games is launching the stable version of the game on October 1. The announcement of the launch is made through the official page for Call of Duty Mobile.

The game is developed by Tencent’s Timi Studio which brings together experiences from both the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series of games. The game also comes with a fully-customizable control scheme, numerous modes of play, fan-favorite characters, and weapons to choose from, as well a new, sprawling and suitably epic Battle Royale mode — check out the sneak-peek posted on Twitter.

What are the different modes in Call of Duty Mobile?

In multiplayer mode, you can play a selection of new and classic Call of Duty experiences such as Frontline, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Gun Game, and Search & Destroy — just pick a preferred map, like Nuketown, Hijacked, Crash and more.

Also rank up to unlock classic Call of Duty characters, such as John “Soap” MacTavish and Simon “Ghost” Riley from the Modern Warfare series, as well as Alex Mason from the Black Ops series.

In battle royale mode, just like PUBG Mobile, you play in Solo, Duo, or Quad-player competitions and survive against up 100 players. But here, you only have one huge and unique open map featuring undulating terrain and locales from across the Call of Duty universe — where PUBG Mobile has four different maps to experience the battle royale mode. Also, you can play in either first or third-person perspective, and pick one of six “Classes” to play as, before you parachute in and the action begins.

The official post also says players in territories where the game has already launched (Australia, Canada, and Peru) will retain their progress in the game.

So what do you think about new battle royale game — is Call of Duty Mobile is going to be a better contender for PUBG Mobile.
