The New York law firm Rosen Law Firm has filed a lawsuit in California against CD Projekt — the company behind the development studio CD Projekt Red.
It’s about the poor condition of the recently launched Cyberpunk 2077 and the fact that the studio had deceived its shareholders and other investors about the state of the game.
“Cyberpunk 2077 was practically unplayable on the current generation of Xbox or Playstation systems due to an enormous number of bugs,” writes Rosen Law Firm in a press release.
This led to the mass returns and refund of the game at Microsoft and Sony stores, which had an impact on CD Projekt sales and thus on the share price — which means a loss for the shareholders.
The lawsuit filed is not yet a class action. Rosen Law Firm is a relatively well-known law firm that specializes in representing shareholder and investor interests. A few days ago a Polish lawyer and investor announced that they would be examining the possibility of a class-action lawsuit.
