“Windows Is Back”: Microsoft Planing To Rejuvenate Windows 10 With New Graphic Interface By End Of 2021

Microsoft would be preparing important changes in the Windows 10 — new interface change that would have the priority of modernizing the system, but at the same time making it “familiar” to the average user.

Windows is BACK” is the description of a job posting from the Redmond giant, concerning a Senior Engineer who will collaborate with the internal Windows Core User Experience team to “orchestrate and offer a radical visual renewal of Windows experiences“.

The description states that “the team is involved in driving innovations for user interfaces used by billions of Windows and Surface Hub consumers around the world“, and that the company is looking for a “collaborative, inclusive and obsessed with the needs of the senior engineer to develop the future of Windows Experiences.” The new engagement will also work with key partners of the company in order to rejuvenate the UI of the operating system and other Microsoft entities.

It is striking that Microsoft claims that it wants to send a message to consumers: “Windows is BACK,” ensuring that they are offered the best user experience possible.

The news of a new redesigned graphics of the Microsoft operating system surfaced in October 2020 by means of rumors not confirmed by the company. According to rumors, the news are secreted in what is called “Sun Valley” , an internal project that plans to renew mainly the Start Menu and the Action Center (the notification bar).

The team is also studying a renewal of the Explorer interface and an evolution for some graphic elements: among these rounded corners for windows and warning screens, and a more capillary integration than today of Fluid Design on more elements of the UI.

We point out that Microsoft has never confirmed these plans. However, according to rumors, the interface update should be completed by the holiday season of 2021.
