PUBG Mobile fixed 6-hour per day playtime restriction error in India

Update: March 24, 2019

PUBG Mobile team fixed healthy gameplay system error and apologized via Twitter for shutting out gamers in India.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile or popularly known as PUBG Mobile by Tencent Games has now imposed “6-hours per day” playtime restriction to Indian gamers.

Recently the popularity of PUBG Mobile in India is becoming a curse to the company. Because of a couple of teenage deaths and other alleged accidents, Indian government officials have banned the PUBG Mobile is some cities — also reported multiple arrests violating one of those bans. Almost the most addicting game is now at the brink of a nationwide ban.

To cope up with the addiction among teenagers and adults, PUBG Mobile is now testing or maybe they already implemented a 6-hour per day playtime limit in India. Which means now Indian gamers can play PUBG Mobile only for 6 hours a day, after that message will pop up on the screen saying “You’ve played the game for 6 hours today,” and asks them to come back at 5:30 am the next day.

Till now Tencent Games has not made any no official announcement regarding this new playtime restriction for Indian users. The 6-hour limit was first spotted by SportsKeeda with PUBG Mobile players rushing to Twitter with screenshots of the new in-game limit.

According to the new 6-hour restriction, players are shown a warning first after the two hours of gameplay, and then after four hours, stating that they are soon going to reach the limit. After six hours of gameplay, gamers say they are shown a pop-up box labeled ‘health reminder’. Players are told they have played for six hours, and that they need to come back after 24 hours have passed.

With this new restriction update, PUBG Mobile is surely going to fight off requests to ban the game outright. Although many Indian gamers are not in support of this update. But this is a win-win for both PUBG Mobile and players. Recently the Chinese government has banned PUBG Mobile for players under the age of 13.
