Microsoft has confirmed the rumors that spoke of a new HDMI dongle like Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV — codenamed as Keystone — to play the best Xbox Cloud games without a console.
Through Windows Central, a company spokesperson has confirmed the existence of this project in development that will be part of the expansion of Xbox Cloud Gaming. This device will turn any TV into a “console in the cloud”, and will give access to Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud).
In this way, you will be able to play all the games available in the subscription, including those exclusive to Xbox; without the need to have a console or a computer connected to the TV.
However, it will take some time for Keystone to reach stores, as Microsoft says they have yet to “take our learnings and refocus our efforts on a new approach that will allow us to deliver Xbox Cloud Gaming to more players around the world in the future.”
