A new event joins the trend of the digital format — the Consumer Electronics Show, the world’s largest technology fair, will be held 100% online in January 2021.
It confirms what many of us expected, CES 2021 will be completely virtual to guarantee health security and prevent possible contagions.
This has been confirmed by the organizer from the CES Twitter account. The CES, which will take place between January 6 and 9, 2021, will be a “totally digital” event that will seek to connect “consumers, industry leaders, and the press around the world.”
The privacy issues that COVID-19 leaves behind make it impossible to gather hundreds of people in Las Vegas, according to CTA President and CEO Gary Shapiro.
According to CTA reports, keynotes and conferences will be streamed, products and services will be exhibited digitally, and meetings and networking will be done through the internet with real-time interactions. The organization hopes to resume the physical fair in Las Vegas for CES 2022.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a multitude of firms has been forced to carry out their events virtually. Even Apple, which had managed to turn its more technical conferences into mass spectacles, had to conduct WWDC virtually.
