Samsung Galaxy A51 Vs Samsung Galaxy M31: Which is best?

Samsung, very recently, has released its flagship smartphones, Samsung Galaxy A51 and Samsung Galaxy M31, putting technology fans in a dilemma as to what to choose.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Vs. Samsung Galaxy M31

Samsung launched the Galaxy A51 late in the year 2019 in the month of December. It is an upgraded version of the Samsung Galaxy A50 with almost similar features with a few tweaks and upgrades. Samsung Galaxy M31s is very slightly wider, heavier, thicker, and bigger in size in comparison to Samsung Galaxy A51. Galaxy M31 has a width of 74.06 mm, a thickness of 9.04 mm, a height of 159.07 mm, and weighs 185 grams.

Samsung Galaxy A51, on the other hand, has a height of 73.6 mm, a thickness of 7.9 mm, a height of 158.5 mm, and weighs 172 grams.

Samsung Galaxy M31 is available in a mirage black and a mirage blue color. Samsung Galaxy A51, on the other hand, comes with a wider range of choice in colors including, prism crush white, prism crush black, prism crush pink, prism crush blue.


Both the flagship smartphones are a Super AMOLED type with a 6.5 inches display, although with a slight difference between their screen-to-body ratio. Samsung Galaxy M31 has a resolution of 64 MP f/1.8, 8 MP f/2.2 wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle camera, 5 MP f/2.4 camera, 5 MP f/2.4 macro, and 5 MP f/2.4 depth camera. In comparison, Galaxy A51 has a resolution of 48 MP f/2.0, 12 MP f/2.0 wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle camera, 5 MP f/2.4 macro, and 5 MP f/2.2 depth camera. 

They share the same resolution for the selfie camera, that is, 32 MP f/2.2.

Galaxy M31 shoots videos at 4K@30 fps, 1080p@30fps; gyro-EIS, while Galaxy A51 shoots it at 4K@30/120fps; gyro-EIS. The selfie camera of Galaxy M31 shoots video at 4K@30 fps, 1080p@30fps, whereas that of Galaxy A51 shoots video at 1080p@30fps.


Galaxy A51 and Galaxy M31 both have an internal memory of 128 GB, which is expandable upto 512 GB. 


Samsung Galaxy M31 has a 6000mAh battery, whereas, Samsung Galaxy A51 has a 4000mAh battery.


With Dolby Atmos and a 3.5 mm audio jack, both the phones have a loudspeaker.


Both the smartphones support light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope. Besides the aforementioned, both the phones support fast charging, fingerprint sensor, multi-touch. Both Galaxy A51 and Galaxy M31 use USB Type-C 2.0 and USB On-The-Go.
