The Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 stands tall as the most potent model in the series. With 8-core Kryo and an Adreno A32 graphics unit, it’s a beast waiting to be unleashed. The Gen 2 version boasts an impressive 30 percent increase in CPU power and a GPU that’s twice as mighty as its predecessor, the Gen 1 variant.
But that’s not all. The SoC supports hardware ray tracing, Wi-Fi 7, and 5G (Sub-6 and mmWave), with Bluetooth 5.3 support. The Snapdragon G1 Gen 1 is a unique offering designed exclusively for cloud gaming without active cooling. With eight Kryo cores and an Adreno A11 graphics unit, it’s optimized for smooth performance. Though it lacks 5G support, it masters Wi-Fi 5 and supports frame rates up to 60 fps, making it suitable for mobile streaming to a certain extent.
AyaNeo, Huaqin, Inventec, Thundercomm, and other companies have confirmed featuring these Snapdragon G3X Gen 2, G2, and G1 chips in their upcoming handheld gaming devices. We’ll likely see the first devices equipped with these processors by the end of this year or early 2024.
