Asus ROG Phone 3 arriving by the end of July

The debut of the third generation of ASUS gaming smartphone of the ROG Phone family should take place in July. 

The Taiwanese technology company made this announcement on its official site with a countdown timer that ends on July 22 with a tag line “Game Changer.” The launch event will be streamed online, starting at 8:30 pm IST.

In the website page, you can find the Qualcomm Snapdragon logo, which clearly indicates this new ROG 3 smartphone will be based on the top of the range SoC of the American company.

Moreover, the first generation of ROG Phone was equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, moreover characterized by a slight overclock as standard and last year’s model, ROG Phone 2, ASUS had opted for the Snapdragon 855 SoC. Therefore it is easy to expect a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus on ROG 3.

The ROG Phone 3 was also spotted on a certification website, TENAA, with its full specs includes — 6.59-inch display with 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate powered with a big 6,000mAh battery and run on Android 10.

It will also reportedly pack a triple camera setup at the back with a 64-megapixel primary camera and a telephoto lens with 8x optical zoom. 

The listing also indicated that the device would come in three RAM variants of 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB, along with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB internal storage options.
