According to Taiwanese site Digitimes, Qualcomm would be collaborating with Asustek Computer to develop and launch its own-brand gaming smartphones at the end of 2020 — which can serve as a technological reference for implementing the top-of-the-range Snapdragon SoCs.
However, it would be ASUS to physically produce this new smartphone, for which it is almost obvious to think about the use of the next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon SOC. We are talking about the Snapdragon 875 model, which should be presented by Qualcomm at its Snapdragon Technology Summit at the beginning of December.
By launching its own-brand gaming smartphone, Qualcomm would be able to show the potential of its Snapdragon SoC solutions at maximum capacity, having full control over the entire hardware supply chain.
