apple iphone 6s and iphone 6s plus announced

After many rumours Apple unveiled its newest iPhones at Apple’s special event in San Francisco Wednesday. But the big surprise was, they not only introduced new Iphones but also some other new devices to the world.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has unveiled new iPhones as well as some other surprises. The new generation iPhones, called the iPhone 6S.And with iPhone 6S their is also an iPhone 6S Plus.Apple also brought along the Apple Watch,iPad Pro,ipad Mini 4 and Apple TV

Apple kicked off the event with an update about the Apple Watch. Fashionistas now have more band options. The biggest addition is a wrap-around brown leather Hermés band, which will be available in October. The watch itself now comes in gold and rose gold, and there are new sports band options as well. The smart device was released in April.
apple watch There are  now more than 10,000 watch apps, including a few new important additions. Facebook Messenger’s app will let you send text, audio and location messages. GoPro’s app acts as a viewfinder for your camera. iTranslate lets you speak a word and get a translation and AirStrip is a tool for medical professionals. It’s also adding transit directions to the included Maps app.

Then next Apple announced the iPad Pro, the 12.9-inch iPad. Apple is touting that they made the width of the iPad Air 2 the same as the height of the iPad Pro. This way you can run your iPar Air 2 apps on the iPad Pro and still have space for another app. Using the new multi-tasking features shown in iOS 9 earlier this year at WWDC. It’s a 4:3 ratio, with a 2732×2048 resolution display. Giving you 5.6 million pixels. ipad proThat’s more pixels than the 15-inch Retina Macbook Pro. It’s powered by the A9X processor, a third generation of the A9X here. Apple is also touting all day battery life here, around 10 hours. It weighs in at about 1.57 pounds, and is 6.9mm thin. That’s pretty darn thin, but not quite as thin as the iPad Air 2. Apple has also announced the Apple Pencil. Basically a stylus for drawing on the new iPad Pro. The iPad Pro will be available in space gray, gold and silver. It will start at $799. The Apple Pencil will be $99. Available in November.

The iPad Mini 4 also got announced as part of Apple’s new iPad lineup, which starts at $269 for the iPad Mini 2. With the iPad Mini 4 coming at $399, the iPad Air at $399 and iPad Air 2 at $499. Of course, the iPad Pro finishes out the lineup at $799 as their flagship.

After iPad Pro,next thing Apple announced was the long-awaited and rumored Apple TV which is powered by Siri.Apple believes that the future of TV is apps, and we’d have to agree actually. Even looking at Android TV, the future is definitely apps. The new Apple TV is still a set-top box, and not built into TV’s like Android TV is.apple tv The new remote has a glass touch surface across the top, acting as a sort of touchpad here. You can search for things like “show me movies with Vin Diesel”, and Siri would show you most of the Fast and Furious franchise and a few other movies. Apple is also announcing a new OS called TVOS for the Apple TV. Which gives the new set-top box an app store to find apps to use on your TV at home. The 32GB model will be on sale for $149, with the 64GB coming in at $199.

And finally Apple announced the next generation iPhone today. The iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.Apple says “we’ve changed everything about these new iPhones”. We’ve heard this before, right? Apple has added a rose gold color. And using a new aluminum frame this year. Probably because of the bending last year. It’ll also be available in silver, space gray and gold. We’re still looking at 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models. With the new iPhone’s Apple have rebranded Force Touch – which debuted with the Macbook earlier this year – and is now known as “3D Touch”. Basically you apply a little bit of pressure and, for example, in the mail app you can read the message without opening the message in the app. Kinda like the long-press on Android. Not that revolutionary.

iphone 6s and iphone 6s plus

The iPhones are built with the third-generation A9X processor. The same chip as the iPad Pro. Apple has a new Touch ID sensor, the say it’s “lightning fast” this year. The camera has been upgraded to a 12MP camera, from the 8MP camera on previous versions of the iPhone. It also shoots in 4K, for the first time ever. Front-facing camera is now a 5MP sensor. The iPhone 6S will start at $199 with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models. The iPhone 6S Plus will start at $299 on contract. Again, 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models. Installment plans are $27/month for the iPhone 6S and $31 for the iPhone 6S Plus. Apple is also announcing the iPhone Upgrade Plan which will cost $32/month and you can upgrade each year. Amazon Is Going To Release A Tablet Which Costs 50$ Only

amazon cheap tablet

Amazon is going to attract customers with their new extremly low cost tablet. The Wall Street Journal claims that Amazon is planning to launch a 6-inch tablet that’ll cost just $50.The company reportedly outsourced a lot of the tablet’s development to overseas companies like Shanghai Huaqin Telecom Technology Co. and Compal Communications Inc. in order to help get its price down.

The new tablet is half the price of the company’s current 6-inch Fire HD tablet, and even less expensive than the company’s Kindle reader, which starts at $79.So this time Amzon will attract buyers looking for a simple and effectively disposable, device for straightforward tasks like streaming video at home and everday use.More over its only 50$ baby!.But we always know that low priced electroinic items have low quality hardwares like inferior screen quality, durability or battery life in comparison to more expensive tablets like Amazon’s larger Fire tablets and industry-leading devices like Apple Inc.’s iPad. For instance, the $50 device will have a mono speaker, rather than stereo.

Amazon faces potential new challenges, as Apple may introduce new versions of its popular iPad and iPad Mini tablets as soon as Wednesday, along with new iPhones.Amazon’s cheapest current Fire tablet has a 6-inch screen and sells for $99, including advertisements that appear as screen savers, or $114 without the ads. It isn’t clear whether the $50 price for the newest tablet includes ads.The coming 6-inch tablet is just half an inch bigger—measured diagonally across the screen—than Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus smartphone and is smaller than some large-screen smartphones known as phablets. Amazon’s device isn’t expected to have phone capabilities.

Also The Wall Street Journal reports that Amazon is planning to release the $50 device in this year that will also include tablets with 8-inch and 10-inch screens.

Mozilla Says Hackers Compromised Bugzilla And Stole Security-Sensitive Info To Attack Firefox Users

bugzilla hacked

Creators of Firefox Web Browser,Mozilla detailed a security attack on its bugtracker and testing tool Bugzilla, as well as the steps it is taking to mitigate a repeat incident. In short, a hacker compromised the service, stole security-sensitive information, and used it to attack Firefox users.

Bugzilla is open-source software that has been adopted by a variety of organizations in addition to Mozilla: WebKit, the Linux kernel, FreeBSD, Gnome, KDE, Apache, Red Hat, Eclipse, and LibreOffice. While Bugzilla is mostly public, access to security-sensitive information is restricted so that only certain privileged users can access it. Following the attack, Mozilla has now beefed up security on those accounts.

After conducting an investigation of the unauthorized access, Mozilla believes the attacker used information from Bugzilla to exploit a Firefox vulnerability. The company plugged that Firefox security hole on August 6, just a day after it was reported to the company. The flaw was being exploited in the wild: Attackers were injecting a malicious script that searched for key files on a user’s machine and then uploaded them to a remote server, thought to be located in the Ukraine. Firefox users merely had to load a webpage with the exploit on it, and the attack left no trace.

Mozilla said the latest update to Firefox 40 (version 40.0.3, released on August 27) addressed all the vulnerabilities that the attacker learned about and could have used to harm Firefox users. With that out of the way, the company is now focusing on the Bugzilla side of the attack.

The account that the hackers broke into was shut down shortly after the company discovered it had been compromised, the company said in a blog post.

We are updating Bugzilla’s security practices to reduce the risk of future attacks of this type. As an immediate first step, all users with access to security-sensitive information have been required to change their passwords and use two-factor authentication. We are reducing the number of users with privileged access and limiting what each privileged user can do. In other words, we are making it harder for an attacker to break in, providing fewer opportunities to break in, and reducing the amount of information an attacker can get by breaking in.

Additionally, Mozilla said it has notified relevant law enforcement authorities about the incident. The company may also take “additional steps based on the results of any further investigations.”

Forget Bluetooth,Researchers Developed A New Technology That Transmit Data Through Your Body

bluetooth alternative

Bluetooth is the ultimate way of data transferring in smartphones and wearables.however, the technology is growing there is always room for improvement.

Recently Researchers at the University of California, San Diego have developed an alternative to Bluetooth that is both faster and more secure. They said this new wireless communication technique will massively outperforms existing wireless tech by using the human body itself to help send data between devices.bluetooth alternative

The researchers explained the working principle of this prototype,it sends data signals through the body’s natural magnetic field instead of sending signals over the air. To use the body in data transmission, PVC-wrapped wires go around the user’s limbs, which generate magnetic fields for data to be sent. The wearable device needs to be circular in nature , meaning it trigger a new wave of extremely low-power wearable devices like fitness bands, smart watches, headbands, or belts.

Patrick Mercier, a professor who led the research at UCSD said that:
In the future, people are going to be wearing more electronics, such as smart watches, fitness trackers and health monitors. All of these devices will need to communicate information with each other. Currently, these devices transmit information using Bluetooth radios, which use a lot of power to communicate. We’re trying to find new ways to communicate information around the human body that use much less power,….he also added This technique, to our knowledge, achieves the lowest path losses out of any wireless human body communication system that’s been demonstrated so far.

So what are its benefits over Bluetooth?

The primary benefit is lower power consumption. In Bluetooth devices the datas are trasferred via radio signals,so the electromagnetic radiation that makes up these signals is blocked by something like walls, your body etc. This will create obstructions and resulting in ‘path loss’. So a pretty significant power boost is required to push the signal through something like the human body.

Since with this new technology the human body itself is what transmits the data, eliminating the body as an obstacle. The researchers say path loss using magnetic field human body communication is more than 10 million times lower than that of Bluetooth radios.

Another advantage of the technology could be security. Compared to something like Bluetooth, which transmits data in a wide radius of several metres, magnetic field human body communication prevents any kind of digital eavesdropping, as the signals are largely contained to your body. The researchers say information is neither radiated off your body, nor can it be transmitted from one person to another.

Researchers noted that a limitation of this technique is that magnetic fields require circular geometries in order to propagate through the human body. Devices like smart watches, headbands and belts will all work well using magnetic field human body communication, but not a small patch that is stuck on the chest and used to measure heart rate, for example.

As long as the wearable application can wrap around a part of the body, it should work just fine with this technique, researchers explained. The researchers presented their study at the 37th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society in Milan, Italy.

A Tweet That Reminds Steve Jobs was a Syrian Migrant’s Child Gone Viral

steve jobs

Last days we all saw a photograph of a drowned Syrian toddler that went viral in social media networks. The Kurdish boy who washed up on the beach was identified by Turkish officials as 3-year-old Aylan Kurdi in news reports. He was in one of two boats, Reuters reported, carrying a total of 23 people that set off separately from the Akyarlar area of Turkey’s Bodrum peninsula, apparently headed to the Greek island of Kos, where they could have attempted to enter the European Union. Reports suggested that their ultimate destination was Canada.

3-year-old Aylan Kurdi

Later a tech pioneer connected some dots in a simple, powerful tweet that was soon widely shared.David Galbraith, a Geneva, Switzerland-based tech entrepreneur and designer, tweeted an iconic black-and-white photo of Steve Jobs with the words: “A Syrian migrants’ child.”The Apple founder’s biological father left Syria for the United States in the 1950s.

Galbraith is a partner at Anthemis Group, a digital financial services investment and advisory firm. He was also co-founder of MLS Ventures, an incubator where Yelp was created; a co-author of RSS, which lets individuals syndicate data using feeds; and co-founder of Moreover.com, which was acquired by Verisign in 2005.

By midday Thursday, Galbraith made a tweet, that reminds the world that Steve Jobs was also a Syrian Migrant’s Child like Aylan Kurdi. The tweet went viral with more than 4K retweets and 2K favorites.

Galbraith said he learned of Jobs’ ancestry from the Apple founder’s authorized biography, “Steve Jobs.”He also added “It contrasted that of Aylan Kurdi in every way and made me wonder what little boys like him could have achieved if they had been given the chance. In a medium restricted to 140 characters, a picture is worth more than 1,000 words.”
